What is the name of your state? California

Please, could someone please tell me what a 1382 form is and where I can locate it? All I gather is that it supposedly is to be filed if a county warrant is issued for FTA while prison time is being served and it's supposed to wipe out the hold. Is this correct? If not, please advise on correct action.

1382 PC covers the dismissal of charges not brought in a timely fashion.
The 1382 form prohibits him from being held on charges that should be dismissed under 1382 PC.

It's not a generic get out of free card but it does apply in many cases. Some of the Californians can probably give you a better answer.
