What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Kansas

Can someone please explain the meaning of the disposition "dismissed with prejudice" as it pertains to a bad check conviction?

Thanks.

What I mean is when a person is charged with an offense but instead of being "convicted" in court, the court dismisses the charge "with prejudice" and that's what the final disposition of the offense shows.

Then CC's post # 2 gave the answer .

The same charge can not be brought up again on the same matter, or the case was dropped and can not be brought back up.
