I was arrested for possession of marijuana and cocaine 4.5 years ago. I pled "first time offense" and was told my record would be cleared in 7 years. I am now looking for a new job and would like to know the following: how can I find out the status of my record, how much in-depth information can an employer find out, do most reputable employers conduct criminal background checks, how can I expunge my record and is there a way that I can expunge my record sooner?
