What is the name of your state? Dallas, Texas

About five years ago I was charged and convected of Mis/theft. I recently tried to get into an apartment but was turned down because of my record. I have been told that I can have my records sealed but I can't find any information on how to do it. I haven't been in any trouble since then and I am trying really hard to get my life together. It's just hard when you have something like that hanging over your head. I'm unemployed and having a hard time finding a job because of it. Is there anyone out there that can give me some free advice on what to do? Thank you!
