parole violation 4 years after being of parole?

What is the name of your state? Texas My brother was arrested 5 days ago for the charge of early release parole violation. How is this possible when he has been off parole for for years. The parole board out of Austin keeps telling us that his parole officer will go and speak with him, he does not have a parole officer. We have contacted the parole office in the county they are saying he is on parole from and they dont know what we are talking about. The only thing we have found is a court record from 2003 where he plead guilty to burglary of a building from a charge back in 1994. Court records show he was given two years and judge gave him time served. That charge was suppose to be ran concurrent with the charges he served time on in 1996 thru 1998. There are no other warrants or charges pending we have had them check. So far no one can tell us why they are holding him, they wont even let him bond out. The warrant for early release parole violation came from the parole board out of Austin and they cant even tell us why? any suggestion

Your brother somehow violated the terms of his parole. He has now been arrested for this. He will face the parole board, and will serve whatever time they set. When there is a parole hold, that means he cannot bond out. The only piece of good news he is looking at is that the time he is serving waiting for his violation hearing will be applied toward any time he is given at that hearing.

BIG TIP FOR OTHER PAROLE VIOLAORS:

It matters not if it has been 5 days or 5 years, eventually you will be caught and you will be returned to prison for that violation. There is no statue of limitations for parole violations.
