My mother is incarcerated in Iowa. She's been there for just a few months short of 20 years, serving a life sentence (no parole) for 1st degree murder.
Despite the odds, I'd like to start a letter writing campaing and whatever else is needed to petition the governor for executive clemency or a reduction in sentence.
Any advice on what to write or do to increase my mother's chances? I'll gladly accept any information I can get.
