Hi all. We reside in IL, and I had someone arrested for criminal trespass. We had a no trespass order on our home against this person and the person violated the no trespass order and came to our home anyway. The person was consequently arrested and has to go to trial for criminal trespass charges, a class B misdemeanor. Can I drop these charges at this point, or is this something only the prosecutor can do? How should I proceed?

Thanks in advance!
