What is the name of your state? Texas

What would be the purpose of postponing an arrainment or the hearing where your charges are read and you plea guilty or not guilty? The hearing was set for 1.31.05 but moved to 3.28.05. All parties were present so why the delay? What would be some of the circumstances?

There could be thousands of different reasons.

The judge may not be available till then.

Further investigation is needed.

The prosecutor has a big case coming up.

The courtroom is being re-modeled.

etc.

Sometimes the "justice" system likes to give people a little extra rope in hopes that they will hang themselves...waiting almost 2 whole months when all parties are present, come on, just be sure none of them have any more mishaps w/ the law, traffic violations included, that would make things bad then the charges could possibly (more than likely) be multiplied because then there would be more on their records....and whatever happens, make sure that everyone is in court, on time on 3/28, Good Luck.
