Can anyone tell me what the purpose of a pretrial motion is for?Can the D.A. reject charges even after the pretrial?

There are many kinds of pretrial motions. Pretrial motion just means a motion that is submitted to the court before the trial. The DA can dismiss a case whenever s/he wants.
