What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
A couple years ago I was facing six charges...misdemeanors & felonies. I got sentenced to prison & served my time.
I have been out for 10 months now & got a letter from probation that they want me to pay $7,000 in fines for the misdemeanors!I was under the impression since I got a prison term for my felonies that the misdemeanors were dropped. I am not on any form of probation. How do I straighten this out?

You need to read the order of the court regarding the disposition of the misdemeanors. Assuming the misdemeanors were dropped is not a good idea. You need to confirm they were dropped, or not.
