Probation Violation

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia

I was put on probation for a year for a minor in possession of alcohol charge on oct. 20, 2008, and 6 months later i got a DUI. This coming tuesday, oct. 20, 2009, is supposed to be the end of my probation. I have been compliant with all my DUI programs (ASAP, Substance Abuse Treatment, and my probation requirements)... will i be sentenced to jail? More probation? Putting me back in jail would prevent my successful completion of these programs. Input is greatly appreciated, thank you.

i already went to court for the DUI, payed the fine, and was put in asap, substance abuse treatment, restricted license...but i was on prbation for my MIP charge, and that probation period is supposed to end on tues, oct 20, 2009. im supposed to go and show that i completed my community service, and was compliant with my probation officer, which i had, but i got the dui during that period as well.

Are you saying that you didn't tell your PO about the DUI?

im just not really sure how violations work...would i have aleady been violated if they were going to do something about it? i was figuring that since this court date is supposed to be the end of my probation, the judge would look back at my past covictions, see that i got a dui during my probation period, and give me a violation of probation charge and put me in jail, or extend my probation. i have also searched my charges on the court system database, and it does say that i have a probation violation, but the court date for it is in 2012...this seems very strange to me
