OK, my friend had went to prison. While he was in prison he still had a pending charge in another county that he was released to (to take care of the charge, and then returned back to DOC custody). The county charge he had taken care of while he was in prison was not a state felony or anything, can he spend his sentence for that charge in prison or would the county wait for his release from prison and put a hold on him so that he can spend his "county time" immediately after his release from DOC.

2nd, same friend (lol), was on probation for 6 months with 1 month suspended jail. He was violated on his 4th month of probation and sat in jail for 3 months awaiting sentencing for new charge. Can that 3 months he spent be credit towards old charge thus satisfying old charge?
