What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Arkansas. My son was arrested on July 24, 2009. He is 22 yrs old.
Can he fire his public defender and if so will will happen with his case.
He is very worried they are not doing all they to show his innocence
and I"m affrad he is right. What can we do?

That's the problem. If we could he would of had one on July 27th. when he went to court for the first time.

We don't know the circumstances here .

PD's are just like paid Attorneys .

Some are good ,some not so good .

Any representation is better that none .

If he truly feels the PD and him are not on the same page ,he should request an appointment of a different attorney .

He going to have to explain what this attorney is is not doing for him ,other that feelings .
