My friend is being held in the County jail. He was out on bond when he was arrested for a different issue. Although a bond was set for the second arrest, the original bond was revoked because of the second arrest. He has been in Cook County Jail for about 100 days. The 1st arrest issue should be coming to a close on his next court date. We anticipate he will get 1 year for that, of which he already has 100 days time served.

My question is two-fold: If he has posted the bond for the second issue, because he has served the 100 days, is it possible that will he only have to go to the State Facility for processing and be released within a few days?

Since he has a court date of Oct. on the second case, can Cook County delay him from fulfilling his sentence from the 1st case until his Oct court date, even if has paid the bond for the second case?
