I'm in South Carolina..

Here's the deal. I had some charges on my last year that were dropped. My lawyer told me that he could have my record expunged for $500, which I think is crazy. I did a search for the county it occured in and found a form to fill out and what not. I'm not sure what else will need to be done after the form is filled out, but I think it only costs $35, but the part that is a pain is that I don't live in the county it occured in anymore thus if I need to get signatures it would be a pain.

I don't really want to do it on my own, but if I can save $400 it may be worth it.

Anybody have any input on what I should do?
