does state law governing probation give options for community service to be paid out or does it show that hours must be served.

You HAVE to do the time!!

No - you cannot "pay" for community supervison - that would be a court ordered fine.

You HAVE to do the time - it's part of the punishment phase. If you don't have to do your community service under county supervision - go to a church that serves the homeless and get it out of the way like that...

The LAW does have restrictions for the number of hours that a judge can order, depending on the degree. (mis, state-jail, 3rd-felony etc)

I hope this helps everyone who NEEDS it.

Whoa

Chod...

this is a record, you have just brought a thread that is over 5 years old back to life...

Um... stop it okay!

It seems like you searched for specific words like probation, community service and even sexual oriented crimes...

Now you are having a field day bringing old threads back from the dead.

We do not like that around here, the posters are probably long gone and...well in mucks up the board for the people who are trying to get immediate advice now.

Stick to the now... sheesh... newbies.
