My 12 year old daughter came home after a friend attacked me. Remember...she came home afterwards. Now, the friend's defense attorney is requesting my daughter as a witness in the ex-friends criminal assault case based on the attack. Can my daughter be forced to appear as a witness? My daughter only saw that the friend was in the house, the friend made an attack-like move towards my daughter and my daughter pushed the friend once we were all outside the house. (The police arrived in time and stopped the situation.) Please advise.
