I would to file charges for sexual abuse, my offender is the same sex. Who would I report this to? I spend months in therapy would this information be used in my case?

Have you filed *any* charges with the police ? Do you have any proof or evidence ? any witnesses ?
Report it to the police. Your therapy records will probably be admitted into court, since your therapist is your best witness that the abuse occurred. The same sex issue is a red herring. Sex abuse laws are not gender-specific.
