my attorney says that if I agree to a bench trial I'll get a guarantee that I won't get any jail time. Can this be true?

Did you forgot to show up for the Court date? Why you arrested?

I showed up for the court date. I'm charged in Florida with "contributing to the delinquency of a minor". It's a first degree misdemeanor. My attorney says that if I agree to a bench trial instead of a jury trial, that they won't be able to give me any jail time and will withhold adjudication. I can't find this anywhere in the Florida Statutes. He says the state offers it because jury trials are so expensive.
