What aew the steps to setup a defense funds?

I have a friends that has been charged with medical fruad/money laundering & taxes envasion. I want to know what are the steps to setup a Defense-fund to pay for their attorneys fees, because they have bad attorneys whom are very deceiving. My friends stand a poor change to fight this case without good attorys.Please give me the steps to setup this defense funds for them, thanks.
