If you know of someone using other peoples Social Security numbers to open checking accounts then writing bad checks on the account no one in Government cares. A Judge,States Attorney and the Attorney General do not want to hear about it that your just getting the other party into trouble.

South Dakota, Yankton

The same States Attorney also got a search warrent to shut down a bulletin board to search for email to a third party.
There were things on the bulletin board about him and he got it shut down 3 weeks before an election.
Third party email is not stored on a newspapers web server which this happened to be. (Yankton Daily Press and Dakotan)

Local lawyers do not want to hear about it (100 mile radius) because the States Attorney and Judge are vindictive and other clients suffer if you stand up to them.
Who in the Federal Govenment investigates? The matter is all in black and white in Court records.

Contact the Social Security Administration... Trust me, they'll care. They will then contact the appropriate law enforcement agency (I think the FBI handles most SSN fraud cases).

No the Social Security Administration did not care. They took copies of the checks and did nothing saying people do it all the time.
The same of the FBI, the amounts are not big enough for them to get involved with.

The horrifying part is this person is on probation for writing no account checks and was arrested June 3rd again for writing insufficent funds checks in excess of 100 dollars but they do not feel it violated the probation. (????).

Also was fired from a job for using other peoples Social Security numbers to get loans but no legal action was taken.

She got away with 1000's of dollars as they do not want the public to know about it.

BellSouth

Okay. You said that SSA doesn't care about SSN fraud. So, does it mean that people committing SSN fraud while applying for Bellsouth accounts get away with this?

It happened to my friend when her ex husband committed SSN fraud by using her name on new BellSouth account and ran up 550 dollars worth of LD phone calls.
