What is the name of your state? Michigan

I guess I'm not understanding this. If someone has been out of the house for over 2 years because they were told to get out, and they filed for a divorce a month before their Father died and found
out they and their 3 brothers were getting an inheritence, why would that persons soon to be ex-
be entitled to any of the inheritence? How much are they entitled to?

Thanks.

An inheritance that has been kept separate, and not mixed in the family assets, is NOT split up on divorce, even in community property states.

That does NOT mean that the spouse can not make a demand for a part as part a settlement process.
