Yes, you are always allowed to file/handle your own cases in any court. In fact, a lot of folks do that.

Whether that's advisable to do, however, is another issue.

Unfortunately, courts can't advise you on the "right" ways to prepare your filings, only advise you if something is amiss.

If you're reasonably intelligent, diligent and willing to put in the time and effort to get yourself up to speed on how to do your own case, go for it.

Your best place to start is at a good library, reading books geared toward do-it-yourselfers in the area of law that you're concerned with.

You'll learn a lot in the process and MIGHT save some legal fees, if you do end up completing the case without hiring a lawyer to come in and do cleanup.
