georgia i loaned a friend and made him an authorized signer on a credit card to use for business expenses and the amount was to be paid every month. almost 2 years later he owes almost 7k and with minimum payments i could be tied to this debt 30 yrs. he has tons of equity in his home and can utilize this to pay it off. he has been late a few times paying but is usually making minimum payments each month what are my chanced if i take him to small claims.

Your chance of success depends largely on what 'evidence' you have to support your claim that this is a loan... and not a gift. Do you have anything in writing where he agrees to repay you?? If not, try to get something from him.

However, you are very lucky..
Georgia Small Claim jurisdictional limit at $15000 is one of the highest in the nation!!

nothing in writing

no written agreement. i never used the card at all i simply made him an authorized signer to enable him to have his contract job his company did not supply him with a company card. i have an email where he states he continues to pay on this account but if i do not stop being a b**** he will call ins. my husband is here on waiting for the renewal of his green card and at present we are separated. i have known the guy i loaned the card to for 12 years it was an entirely verbal agreement thanks
