What is the name of your state? Maine

I have recently filed for divorce. The only real estate my wife and I have is a house. She has walked away from everything and contests nothing. When I filed, the clerk at the courthouse told me that she did not think I had to file a financial statement, because my wife and I were in agreement with each other concerning the division of our finances. Is this true?

Yes-but! If any bickering should arise about assets before the divorce is final you will be back to square one. It is better to just file the financial disclosure now and get it out of the way. Vindictive spouses have a way of screaming fraud
