What is the name of your state? OHIO

My wife and I are legally divorced. During the course of our divorce proceedings (we were legally separated) our joint income tax refund check came in the mail. My ex-wife signed my name to the check as well as her name and cashed the check, keeping all the money. Can I sue her for forgery and ask for half the money plus court costs? This did not get discussed during divorce court because our divorce concentrated on a nasty custody battle and this issue was just not brought up. Thank you!

Unless it is a huge amount of money, forget it. The time and aggravation and costs involved in getting your half back are not worth it.
