I am 43 yrs old, disabled draw 638.37 per month disability, 13 year old son, home with $80,000 mortgage. We are currently filing for bankruptcy which is scheduled for 7-23-02. We are filing on all of our unsecured debts. My husband over a 1 1/2 yrs ago sort of messed around, (never had sex with) with my 20 yr old cousin. I am unable to work due to lupus,tos,fibromyalgia, and stress.
I am now facing a divorce, and I would like to know if I should also file for bankruptcy? I dont know what they could get from me but it would be nice to not have that on my record at my age. We are going to have to sell our home because we cant afford it seperately. What should be the first thing to do?
