What is the name of your state? CA
We just received judgment from small claims court. They say enforcement of the judgment is postponed for 30 days from the date of this mailing. The court has sent a copy of the judgment to the coporation who we are suing, but that address is not valid. We told the judge that it was incorrect and the small claims advisory clinic is the one who gave us the address. We were instructed to notify an Agent for Service of Process at this address. Because this person and address is incorrect, and Secretary of State also has the wrong address, can we send a copy of this judgment to the corporate office? How do we put a lein on this corporation before they go out of business or change their coporate name? We are getting incorrect information from the court itself in who to sue. They say we can not sue the store where we bought it from, but have to go through an Agent. Because we could not serve the Agent for Service of Process, we had to serve Secretary of State, who also has the wrong address. This corp has not updated their info since 1998. Please provide us with any helpful info that you can. Thanks!
