i just found out the ex is moving out of state...if he takes my belongings with him...would my belongings then be considered stolen............

If YOU have the reciept that YOU alone paid for it and its in YOUR name only, then yes.

Such as a reciept that YOU paid for the couch on YOUR credit card,or YOUR own checking account, and Only YOUR name is on the reciept from the store.

Anything bought with joint money is Joint property, and you would have to sue him for your your half ownership if he took it.
