My question is if someone charged something on my credit card do they have the right to take it with them? Or since it was chard on my account does it stay with me??

It depends. If the purchase was made as a gift, the person keeps the item. It the item was being purchased for you, you keep it.

Or if the item was purchased for the benefit of both (as in a marital asset.... furniture, etc.) then it is subject to negotiation.
