Does anyone know what the abandonment laws are in Kansas or where I could find them? My husband is trying to adopt my daughter (whom he has been taking care of since she was born). Bio hasn't seen child since she was 2 months old, no child support, the state was supposedly garnishing his wages but he doesnt keep a job and I haven't received anything from him or the state as far as child support goes, SRS was helping me with daycare, but that was it. Bio dad is trying to fight the adoption, just to spite me.
So I am trying to find out abandonment deals, have been unsuccessful. Thanks to all.
