I am an Ohio driver that hauls forklifts in the state ofOhio, I was on a four lane and a car cut me off to turn right at the intersection. I slammed on my brakes to stop, the chain on the load broke and slid forward causing damage to the truck. My employer is holding the last two weeks of pay and deductions taken out for state tax. He said he is holding this to pay for the damages. They said that they can by law hold this to pay the deductable on the insurance. He is not turning it in to the insurance co. He still has not even asked what happened, and will not talk to me. terry

My response:

Please look at the top, left, corner of this page. It says, "State Laws vary greatly. Include your state in all postings."
A lot of you have "State specific" questions, yet you good folks are not reading, and FAIL to tell us your State. We cannot help you with anything but "general" concepts of law if we don't know your State, and "general concepts" may HURT YOU.

NOTICE:
Therefore, this writer will, from now on, IGNORE all questions and entries unless they include your State.
