I wrote a letter stating. "I am Resigning from my position in your "cost center"". I also stated that as required by my level of management, I am giving you a 30 day notice. Stating I could no longer work for someone who no longer had any trust in his office manager. He made a verbal offer with another associate present. I said I could reply to the offer on Wed.(2-days later). I had a meeting with the administrator at which time I was told that Boss was renigueing on his offer due to his other associate resigning. I was then escorted to HR by 2 people. I was told that there are alot of positions that I could move into and to fax my resume in tomorrow. I was sent home, put on a two day administrative leave and told my PTO bank would be used for pay(I am an exempt employee ia a salaried position). On Thurs. AM I called the HR person to say that I could not get my resume in until Mon. I was told that would be fine and that she would call back after the meeting with my boss, the administrator, HR rep and another Team Member from the Hospital Network. Thursday afternoon I was called and told that they had decided to reinterpret my letter as a full resignation from the Health Care System and that they would honor my thirty daynotice with a severence I was not to return to the office My Personal things would be picked up at my exit interview. I have an "impeccable employee file" stated at a staff meeting with my staff on Wed. and that everything is being done to keep me in the Primary Care Network(40 offices,75 Physicians, two county wide).I had been with this company for 5 years but in the same office for 7 years. I was grandfathered into this company when my private employer sold into theirs. BUT wait there is more. I went for my exit interview and was told my thirty day severence would be mailed with a pay out of my PTO. This company deposited my usual pay into my account as usual and paid the employee quarterly bonus. Boy I'm really confused? Does any one know if I have to save some benefits. I was vested in the 301b plan and had a TSA being paid thanks for the HELP
