Is is legal for administration to, overnight, replace the locks on the staff bathrooms, not inform the staff, and when the staff complains, issue keys that don't work?

This school is five storeys tall, plus a basement with classrooms, and takes up an entire city block.

To be fair, the 2d floor ladies room was left unlocked; however, this created a line.

Boy, IAAL, what a jerk you are...

Indeed, the original message raises an issue shared by many workers, especially females (and, indeed, most teachers and farmworkers), about the availability of bathroom facilities.

Currently, California regulations do require adequate bathroom facilities, but these rules do not exist in most locations. The federal workplace safety agency (OSHA) has considered whether to issue regulations in this area.

You are entitled to a safe and HEALTHY workplace with adequate facilities. If you do not have it, call OSHA or your state labor/health agency.

And, IAAL, if you don't have anything useful to add other than your stupid-ass disclaimer and smirking half-assed references to codes, get a life and stop posting tripe for people who actually want and need help. "Law Professor" my ass....

To IAAL: This situation has continued for over a week now. Please do not be so quick to ridicule the plights of others. The situation has thickened in that: if you are substitution on the fourth floor but your "regular" post is on the 2d floor, you cannot have a key to the 4th floor.

P.S. Do you really think "Steven Wright" is nationally known (i.e. has a high Q factor)?
