What is the name of your state? in indiana we adopted a newborn. the birthmother signed consent. then went home & changed her mind. she filed a petition to contest the consent. that is one problem the other is that the birthfather was unidentified and did not sign away his rights. Now we have been told that he is going to claim paternity to help her regain custody of baby. If he does this within 30 days of being served the petition for the adoption we don't have a chance. But my question is...without him coming forward does she have a good case.
