My new question is how do I take back the phone calls to former clients of my old employer?
Do I send out letters of epilogue to the builders and to my former boss, or do I sit back and wait?
I have done no work as of this date.

My response:
Well, you put the "cart before the horse." Your have already done potential damage, or even actual damage, to your former employer, and if I were your former employer, I would commence a lawsuit against you to included a request for an immediate injuction, enjoining you from continuing your "Unfair Business Practices." If I were you, I'd not merely "sit back and wait" - - I'd get to my nearest attorney for more detailed advice to forestall potential litigation, and mitigate your financial exposure.
