What is the name of your state? CA
The company (manufacturing business) that I work for was bought out and a new company was formed. All employees were offered continued employment, however the new owner stated that he bought only the assets and not the liabilities, and therefore could not be responsible for wages owed by the old comany. I know that I need to take this up with the old company, but all that is left of it is the old owner - what steps do I (and the other employees) need to take to receive our wages?
