What is the name of your state?

About 2-years ago my daughter was charged with a misdemeanor (malicious mischief - broke a number of her boyfriends DJ equipment). She did not do any jail time but did serve community service and paid less than $300 in fines.
What class does this fall under (i am told that they are either classed as type a,b and c - - type 1, 2 and 3 or even by a yes, no and maybe) and how would it affect her in a job application?
