Florida, My employer of two years has this week informed me that I must sign a non-compete agreement of face termination . Do I have any leagle choice

Yes. Your choice is to sign the non-compete, or to be terminated.

There is nothing illegal about an employer asking you to sign a non-compete agreement, and there is nothing illegal about terming you if you refuse. Whether the agreement will be binding or not will depend upon the exact wording of the agreement, and state law in Florida. However, you should assume that it will be binding.
