What is the name of your state? Ohio

Do I give up my rights to my children &/or house if I should decide to live somewhere else until I figure out what I want to do?

You don't "give up" your rights to your children, BUT you will endanger your chances of being able to obtain physical custody of them (if that is something you might want down the road) by showing your willingness to leave them. You will still be able to see at the minimum visitation rights to them.........and I am in no way saying "the court absolutely won't give you custody", I am just saying that leaving them to start your life over will not be a point in your favor......
Is your name on the house?
