My daughter may soon be separating from her husband. I have heard if she leaves and comes to stay with me, it may be possible for him to get her for desertion. Is this true and should a lawyer be contacted before she leaves?
Also, when I mentioned to her about staying at the house and him leaving, she said she cannot afford to pay all the bills on her salary. Would he not also be responsible to help pay the bills at least until the divorce is final?
