I have been married for 2 years. My huband just filed for divorce. I bought the home we live in before we were married. I made the down payment, paid for the improvements and let him live there for free for 5 months, pending the sale of his home. He wants 1/2 the equity in the home and 1/2 the assests inside as well now. Can I subtract my initial expenses. How do you split this up legally?
