What is the name of your state?
Mississippi:eek:

I have a 10 year old son whom my ex-husband adopted 5 years ago. We split up 3 months after the adoption was legallized. My son's real birth father has recently met his son for the first time and would like to have parental rights to see him. I would like this very much too because my ex-husband doesn't treat my son very well at all and his real father is willing to go all out for lack of better words. I need advice please....

When your child was adopted, his natural father's parental rights were severed.

The natural father can adopt him, however, and that will undo the adoption by your ex and give the bio dad parental rights again.

thanks for the advice, don't worry about the lawyer thing. i understand. the adoption took place in ohio and both fathers still live in ohio, but my son and i and my family live in mississippi. i don't even know how that would work anyway. but i appreciate the reply so quickly, thank you.
