What is the name of your state? alabama

I was divorced 1981. Decree stated was house was to sold when youngest child reached 19. I have made all the house payments since 1981. The decree said when house was sold I was to receive all monies I had paid and any amount over that was to be split equally. Since we did not sell the house five years ago when our son turned 19 I want to know if court would make us sell the house or would it decide what the value of the house is and if I have more invested than it is worth would I be allowed to keep the house.
