What is the name of your state? California
I have just found out that when my ex-husband and I applied for our marriage license on 4/1/93, he lied on it regarding his marital status. He stated that the dissolution of his previous marriage was finalized in April of 1989. It in fact did not finalize until 4/15/93, 14 days after our application was made.
Since he lied on the application and his divorce was not final, does that mean our marriage was not legal? Where does this leave me regarding taxes filed or debts/liens incurred in his name?
