My husband(Ex as of February 5) is essentially a deadbeat. I supported him throughout 2002 and the very, very small income he had did not come close to amounting to anything. Now, he is refusing to provide me with a copy of his w-2 to file a joint return. Are my only options married filing joint and married filing separate? Is there anything I can do to reduce my taxes? Does it matter that the divorce papers were initially filed two years ago but they were just finalized one week ago? The difference between joint and separate is $2400, so we are not talking about a little bit of money!! Any help would be appreciated.
