What is the name of your state? Georgia my grandson lived with me 8 monthes now his mother says she is claiming him does anyone know if i have a legal right to claim him?

He can be claimed by the person who provided more than 50% of his support for the tax year. Unless your daughter had a significantly higher standard of living or paid support while he lived with you, you probably provided over 50% of his support & can claim him. I suggest you file ASAP so that the IRS starts with the position that you get the dependency exemption.
