What is the name of your state? presently live in wa, was married in ca.
my question is - if the check for my marriage lic application bounced and the county clerk (alameda, ca) has no record of the marriage would i need to still get a divorce or was i never married???

My response:

Did you believe yourself to be married? Did your spouse?

And, how does a check for that paltry amount bounce? How long ago did it bounce?

at the time yes we thought we were married.
as far as chk goes, dont know - his acct.
