My girlfriend and i bought a car together. I have been paying for the car, and i want to keep the car. she wants me to sell it i don't want to. being with her has messed up my credit. we will be parting ways soon, i can not refi the car, but i can pay for it.
1: can she take the car if she is in the primary position on the title?
2:what can i do to keep my car?

You have two choices:

You can get the car refinanced in your name only and then the car will be yours to take.

You can ask her to refinance the car in her name only and then she gets the car.

If you leave the situation as it is, you are both legally responsible for the car payment and both have interest in the vehicle. Get rid of the car.
