would like to know if there is a way to roll over a ira to avoid paying taxes by reinvesting in any way.i have to start taking withdrawels

Your question is very confusing. You can sell the stocks and reinvest the proceeds in your IRA, transfer custodians, convert to a Roth IRA, etc. If you are 70-1/2 there are required distributions from the IRA but NOT from the Roth.
